Australian Artist Friendless Is Back With A Summer House Anthem

Keeping the good times rolling on ‘Be Rich Records,’ FRIENDLESS lays down some fresh sounds and an unmistakable bop, with the stunning vocals of CHÉ SAVAGE on this brand spanking new single: ‘Rush.’

Friendless knows how to command the stage, performing with the likes of PNAUDuke DumontShiba San, and Justin Martin.  He knows how to take that energy into the studio too and was the winner of the 2021 APRA’s Professional Development Awards in the electronic category.

FRIENDLESS recently collaborated on releases with Jack Burton, on world-renowned house label NERVOUS RECORDS, and Kyle Kinch, on local Australian imprint HUGS.  The instantly catchy track: ‘Lay Low’ ft. XIRA, was widely supported and received scores of streaming and editorial playlist additions, as well as spins across radio such as triple j and BBC Radio 1.

“Rush was a dream of a collaboration! Ché reached out to me, to write and we just clicked creatively, straight away. I really wanted a big tune that was an absolute punch in the face of positivity for summer. 10 minutes into hitting the studio, I had that synth motif and Ché had the ‘Rush’ line in the bag. It was just one of those magical moments. Being so sweet, melodically I wanted to make it gritty and wild, teeming with energy and culminating in a testify moment at the end. I really can’t wait to play this record all across the antipodean summer.” Explains FRIENDLESS.

Touching upon a slightly more UK garage-influenced groove, FRIENDLESS effortlessly manages to keep his trademark swagger and bouncy, melodic fun well intact, whilst blending fluid synths and the delicate vocals of CHÉ SAVAGE into smooth aural indulgence.  Building upon production elements and increasing in energy throughout, this encompasses all the fun and frivolity you have come to expect from the enigmatic man himself.  With just a pinch of sophistication and street sensibilities to boot, this one is sure to get bodies moving!
