Sydney’s Filipino community will gather in October for the 36th Grand Philippine Fiesta Kultura, a daylong celebration of culture, entertainment and community that is expected to draw families and audiences from across the city.
The festival will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at Fairfield Showground in Prairiewood, with activities scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. This year’s program brings together performers from Philippine television and a broad range of cultural presentations, reflecting the enduring connection many Filipino Australians maintain with their heritage.
Among the featured entertainers are Allan K. and Ian Red, two generations of performers associated with the Philippine variety-show tradition.
Allan K., a veteran comedian, singer and television host, has spent decades in Philippine entertainment. Best known for his work on Eat Bulaga!, he has built a career around comedy and live performance, becoming one of the more recognisable personalities in Filipino television.
Ian Red represents a younger generation of entertainers. A television personality, actor and performer, he has appeared on Eat Bulaga! as well as in acting roles, bringing experience in both variety entertainment and television drama to the festival stage.
Music will be represented by The Singing Queens, a female vocal group formed through Eat Bulaga!‘s Sing Eat competition. The group — Eunice Janine, Anne Ferrer, Jean Drilon, Khayzy Bueno and Samantha “Sammy” Rascal — has since become part of the show’s musical lineup, performing alongside established Filipino artists and entertainers.
Also appearing are The Clones, performers known for their ability to recreate the voices and performance styles of well-known recording artists. Their repertoire has included interpretations of figures such as Karen Carpenter, Basil Valdez, Steve Perry, Tina Turner, Freddie Mercury, Harry Styles, Tony Bennett and Rihanna.
For audiences, the appeal of Fiesta Kultura extends beyond its entertainment program. The festival provides a space where Filipino traditions, music and community life can be shared across generations, particularly within a diaspora that has established deep roots in Australia.
Now in its 36th year, the event reflects the continuing growth and visibility of the Filipino community in Sydney while offering a public celebration of Philippine culture for the wider Australian community.
