Beauty Queen Spotlight: Introducing The 2020 Mrs. US of A Globe Andrea Bennett


Andrea Bennett was born and raised in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. She attended Woodbury High School and later received a degree in Humanities/Women’s Studies from Denison University. After college, she went on to complete a master’s program in Human Resources at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She has worked in customer service in the public and private sectors, the healthcare profession, and in education. Currently, she is self-employed as an Instacart Shopper and Transformational/Spiritual Health and Wellness Coach. As a former survivor of domestic abuse herself, she has partnered with multiple organizations including Breakthecyle.org and the Love Is Not Abuse Coalition, to advocate for issues including domestic abuse and violence against women prevention, and promoting healthy relationships. She has been an advocate for domestic violence awareness for over 21 years.

Andrea is the 2020 Mrs. US of A Globe and will represent the United States at the Mrs. Globe Pageant in China in 2021. During the year she will focus on being a spokeswoman and fundraiser for the W.I.N. (Women In Need) Foundation which is a 501(C)3 non-profit established in 1996 by Dr. Tracy (Ph.d.), which offers programs of emotional empowerment for women around the world.

In recent years Andrea became the second Minnesota woman and first woman of color to compete and win the “Triple Crown”-three well-known titles including Mrs. Minnesota International 2013, Mrs. Minnesota United States 2016, and Mrs. Minnesota America 2017. She embraces her role in pageantry as a powerful vehicle to promote her platform “Love Is Not Abuse-Be the Light” (Domestic Abuse Awareness) which encourages overall health and wellness by strengthening a “life toolbox”, exercising extreme self-care, and spiritual fulfillment by speaking with groups of all ages and backgrounds.

In 2017 she was chosen as one of twelve contestants across the U.S. for the show “Alt for Norge-Season 8-a Norwegian TV show connecting Norwegian Americans to their heritage. Her hobbies include impersonating Disney and other children’s characters, traveling, singing, walks around the lake, chilling with her 2 furbabies, Abbey (chihuahua) and Lucky (cat), and reading.
