Psychiatrist and founder of electronic music platform Rave Reviewz, Doc Kamran (AKA Dr. Kamran Ahmed) has just released: ‘Music Therapy’ – 2 tracks of therapy, over electronic music!
In 2021, mental health is a bigger issue than ever before, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. For this year’s campaign, they took things one step further with these therapeutic electronic music tracks.
Part of the ‘Music on my Mind’ campaign (to improve mental health through music), this innovative double A-side includes Moody – a classic house groover produced by: Matthew Play, with tips from psychiatrist Doc Kamran on how to lift your mood when you’re down. Meanwhile, upbeat electronica offering Critical Info has The Dolls Are Good on production duties and goes deep into how we can overcome the ‘inner critic’ which holds us back.
Rave Reviewz has been exploring ways to improve mental health through music ever since launching ‘Music on my Mind.’ The campaign has raised over $40,000 AUD for mental health charities through its fundraising raves and reached thousands, with music-related content to raise awareness. This is the first time a psychiatrist has combined therapy with electronic music, to improve mental health.
