My fabulous Trip To Las Vegas… A Holiday Trip to Remember

I’ve fallen in love with Vegas, I realized this while I was up all night tossing and turning in my comfortable bed at the Gold Coast Hotel. What’s so great about the place? Nowhere in the world is the holiday spirit more spectacular than in Vegas! Where there are massive TV Screens everywhere, dazzling bright lights in every street corner, and where storefronts and hotels are dressed in tinsel, glitz, and other festive finery. No wonder Vegas is labeled the Entertainment Capital of the World!

Last December I was stretched out on a quaint little bridge, perched approximately 50 feet above the shimmering waters of Bellagio Hotel, munching a cheese-drenched hotdog that I had bought earlier from a hotdog vendor and sipping my favourite lemon ice tea. I couldn’t think of one good reason to move from the spot, particularly at the time when the much-hyped-about water display was about to commence.

Before me was a dreamy hotel encompassing an incredible display of Christmas Decorations. To the left is an amazing replica of the Eiffel Tower, a dazzling replica that overlooks the whole Vegas strip and to the right is Planet Hollywood – A treasure cove of shops where the sun never goes down and where the amazing Steve Wyrick resides bedazzling audiences young and old alike with his magic tricks. A few minutes passed and finally the much-awaited water display came in full view of an eager audience. Alas, we were not disappointed! The water display effortlessly came in full effect as it glided along with a cheery Christmas melody. The water rose so high that it nearly bested the height of the Eiffel Tower.

The next day I get an introduction to the rest of Las Vegas via a sightseeing bus, first stop – Stratosphere. I went up an elevator more than 20 storeys high to get a full birds-eye view of Las Vegas, and what a sight to behold! Later we then went to the glorious Caesar Palace to watch Greek Mythology come alive as a sweeping mini- play entitled ‘The Quest for Atlantis’ took centre stage. After Caesar’s palace, we then went back to Bellagio Hotel for a quick stop and then further on to the Vegas strip. At the end of the tour, I finally realized why Vegas is called the Entertainment capital of the world – the place was breathtaking, to say the least! Looking back at the experience, I don’t think I’ll ever forget the larger-than-life wonders of Vegas.
