Aptly slated on February 14, GMA gives the perfect Valentine’s Day treat with the pilot airing of “First Lady.” The sequel to 2021’s top-rating TV series “First Yaya,” “First Lady” is again headlined by the well-loved tandem of Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez. The story now focuses on the life of the new Acosta family after Melody (Sanya) marries the President and how they overcome familial struggles and national obstacles.
New primetime series “Widows’ Web” is set to launch on February 28. The murder-mystery series starring Pauline Mendoza, Ashley Ortega, Vanessa Del Moral, and veteran actress Ms. Carmina Villarroel is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. In their attempt to unravel the truth, how far would they go to prove their innocence?
Viewers abroad can also enjoy watching Filipino romance movies with “GMA Pinoy TV Blockbusters: Love Month” beginning February 6. Catch Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio’s romantic movie “Almost A Love Story” with scenic locations shot in Salento, Tricase in Southern Italy; “Elise” starring Enchong Dee and Janine Gutierrez (February 13); “Ang Kuwento Nating Dalawa” featuring Nicco Manalo and Emmanuelle Vera (February 20); and “LSS” (February 27) bannered by real-life Kapuso couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos.
On February 5, Pinoys will be more informed about choosing the next Philippine president in “Ikaw Na Ba?: The Presidential Interviews sa DZBB” anchored by senior broadcasters Melo Del Prado and Kathy San Gabriel. The special program aims to give the presidential aspirants the opportunity to be heard, present their platforms, discuss issues, and answer questions as the country gears up for Eleksyon 2022.
And on February 26, the Kapuso abroad are in for a musical treat with OPM icon Ely Buendia’s virtual concert “Superproxies” which also features talented Pinoy bands and artists.
