Sydney To Be Hit With 10 DAYS Of Rain With Heavy Rains & Thunderstorms Daily

Storms and heavy rain forecast are set to hit Sydney for most of the coming week.

NSW is set to receive a ‘significant drenching’ with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting an 80 percent chance of rain every day this week and beyond. The Bureau of Meteorology said, “damaging winds, large hailstones, and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are likely”.

The Daily Mail confirms that the middle of this week will have the heaviest falls, with up to 50mm of rain forecast for Sydney across Tuesday and Wednesday.

The NSW Central Coast and the Hunter region are also expected to get hit by heavy rains with the possibility of flash flooding in some areas.

Storms are expected to continue coming into early next week. According to Sky Weather meteorologist Alison Osbourne, the final week of February will “be stormy and unsettled across eastern and northern parts of the country”.

“For you in NSW and Queensland, inland storms will be day to day for the next week, as a hot and humid air mass sits over those states,” she revealed.

News.com.au confirms that Sydney can expect to get between 50 and 150mm of rain by Wednesday, with daily afternoon thunderstorms that could generate flash flooding.
