DIY Mirrors seem to be the DIY trend of the moment on TikTok, with over 52 million views on the platform. The trend was also the most popular on Instagram, with 11,947 number of hashtags. This is likely to increase due to the expanding foam mirror trend that blew up on TikTok.
DIY Vanity came second place with over 14 million views on TikTok. This could be attributed to many people finding that building their dream vanity in the bathroom or bedroom is more attainable than they thought, by upcycling second-hand pieces.
Tiling came third place, with 6.5 million views on TikTok. DIY Tile Table is also featured in the list, with over 900,000 views on TikTok. This is probably due to tiling being easy to do with the right tools and also the level of freedom tiling can provide with creativity by playing around with colour and layout.
