Amber Heard Breaks Silence In First Interview Since Johnny Depp Verdict

Amber Heard has decided to speak out in her first post-verdict interview since her loss to a trial against Johnny Depp.

Mr. Depp was awarded more than $US10 million following a widely watched six-week defamation trial.

Her exclusive interview with Savannah Guthrie via NBC’s Today is airing nearly two weeks after the verdict. In the snippets of the interview, Ms. Heard said she and Mr. Depp were “awful to each other” during their “toxic” relationship.

Ms. Heard also said that she doesn’t blame the jury that awarded Mr. Depp more than $10 million in damages – she claimed that social media’s role in the trial was not “fair”.

Furthermore, said she won’t back down from her testimony in court and she reiterates that Mr. Depp physically and psychologically abused her.

“To my dying day (I) will stand by every word of my testimony,” Heard said in the interview.

Today will air its interview with Ms. Heard in parts on Tuesday and Wednesday (local time). The interview will also be featured in Friday’s Dateline episode.
