After more than 14 years of hiatus from our TV screens, it looks like Australian Idol is coming back to Channel 7 and 7plus in 2023!
The series was first confirmed to be returning to Seven back in 2020, however, production was heavily delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But now that everything is slowly going back to normal, Australian Idol is finally coming back to our screens and they’re conducting a nationwide search to find Australia’s next music superstar.
Anyone aged between 15 and 28 who believes they’ve got what it takes to make it in the music industry are invited to showcase their talents from anywhere in Australia by either uploading a video or singing face-to-face with an Australian Idol producer.

You could be joining the ranks of Aussie legends such as Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Matt Corby, Ricki-Lee, Anthony Callea, Stan Walker, Casey Donovan, and Courtney Act.
The judging panel for the brand new Channel Seven show is yet to be announced.
