Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid introduced another moving love ballad dubbed “Huwag Mo Kong Iwan,” a must-hear collaboration of the OPM icon with Filipino-American music producer Troy Laureta.
Troy arranged and produced the song that was penned by Ogie himself. The exciting collaboration between the U.S.-based musical director and the legendary songwriter happened while Ogie was on tour in America early this year.
The new song, “Huwag Mo Kong Iwan,” depicts the extreme pain of a person to be left behind by the one he loves and relies on the most. It serves as a melodic appeal to be spared from extreme sadness and longing.
The latest Star Music release follows Ogie’s recent project with his wife, the Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, and “It’s Showtime” resident sound designer, DJ M.O.D., entitled “I L Y.”
Before his collab with Ogie, Troy recently worked with Star Music for the release of his album “Giliw,” a compilation of OPM ballads with fresh rendition by world-renowned artists. One of the album tracks, “Araw Gabi” performed by American artist Loren Allred, recently hit 1 million views on YouTube.
