GMA Life TV and GMA News TV herald the holiday cheers this December

The most wonderful time of the year is here again, and GMA Life TV and GMA News TV have a ho-ho-holiday present just for Filipinos abroad who miss spending Christmas in the Philippines.

Light up your mood with “Pinas Sarap” Christmas travel specials as host Kara David takes you to Pampanga, the Culinary Capital of the Philippines, on December 20. Discover the origin of Pinoy’s favorite Christmas dishes such as puto bumbong and bibingka on December 21. Of course, the Christmas feast is not complete without the Christmas ham. Nowadays, our favorite hamon has a different version because it can be made of duck or rabbit meat. Intriguing? Watch it on December 23.

We understand that some of our biyaheros are all set for their Christmas vacation. Join Drew Arellano on “Biyahe ni Drew” as he goes on a trip to Bacolod to visit a Christmas village collector on December 23. Just in time for Noche Buena, on December 24, Drew will explore the City of Pines, Baguio City, which is a favorite destination during the yuletide season.

Still, thinking of the perfect gift for your loved ones? On December 20, Chef Boy Logro and Chynna Ortaleza of “Idol sa Kusina” will show you how to make yummy presents such as Bottled Chicken Wing Sauces, Stuffed Chicken Wrapped in Bacon, home-made Ham Pinwheels, and Christmas Tree Brownies. Surprise your relatives with special recipes which are great for holiday potluck parties on December 21. They will also go to the regions as they scout Davao, Pampanga, and Dumaguete to experience the taste of Christmas with the locals on December 22. Christmas around the world is the theme on December 23 where Chef Boy and Chynna team up with Kapuso actresses Sofie Albert and Pauline Mendoza. On December 24, have a Noche Buena special with Kapuso hunk actor Wendell Ramos as he prepares an appetizing menu which you can serve for your family.

Get some holiday flicks on “Reel Life Weekend” with its family-themed movies. On December 4, watch “Coming Home” headlined by Jinggoy Estrada, Sylvia Sanchez, Edgar Allan Guzman, and Shaira Diaz on a heartwarming story of a family facing issues and challenges that will tear it apart. On December 11, “OFW:The Movie” is the perfect Christmas offering because it depicts a true-to-life film about the triumphs of overseas Filipino workers. On December 18, “Isa Pang Bahaghari” tells a dramatic narrative of a seaman who was presumed dead but reconciled and reunited with his embittered family, starring the superstar Nora Aunor along with Phillip Salvador, Michael de Mesa, and Sanya Lopez. Fill Christmas Day with love with “Family History” top-billed by Michael V., Dawn Zulueta alongside Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Paolo Contis, and Ina Feleo.

On GMA News TV, join a festive episode of “I Juander” as it features some sweet dishes that we crave usually during Christmas.

Included in the list are the leveled-up bibingka, Ube Bibingka Cheesecake, and Floral Sapin-sapin. Drool over puto-bumbong and Cinnamon Banana Fritters Glazed with Honey. I Juander will also visit San Fernando City in Pampanga to taste a different version of Porchetta and Black lechon.

Christmas is indeed a time to get #StrongerTogether so make the most out of it because it only happens once a year. To subscribe to GMA Life TV and GMA News TV, visit gmapinoytv.com/subscribe.
