NSW Records Highest Covid-19 Numbers With A Whopping 2482 New Cases

The daily Covid-19 numbers for NSW continue to climb, as the current new cases stand at 2482 being the highest number of cases ever since the beginning of the pandemic.

Saturday’s NSW case numbers are a step above the previous record of 2213 last Friday.

Fortunately, hospitalisations and ICU presentations remain low, with 206 people in hospital with the virus, which includes 26 patients in ICU.

Premier Dominic Perrottet mentioned earlier in the week that only household close contacts or anyone who attended a venue identified by NSW Health would need to isolate for seven days. Instead, fully vaccinated close contacts will need to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

QR code check-ins are also not compulsory in several places at the moment, including in cafes and restaurants.
