Cricket legend Shane Warne Dies Of ‘Suspected Heart Attack’ Aged 52

Cricket icon and the greatest leg spinner in history, Shane Warne, was found unconscious in a villa in the resort of Koh Samui in Thailand earlier today.

Daily Mail confirms that Shane Warne has suddenly passed away from a ‘massive heart attack’ at the age of 52 while he was on a holiday. According to the police, three friends staying with him reportedly tried their best to revive him for 20 minutes.

Thailand police said that when one of his friends tried to wake Warne for food at around 5 pm local time, he was found to be unresponsive. He was eventually taken to the Thai International Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Warne’s management released a statement early Saturday (AEDT) confirming that he passed away of a suspected heart attack.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement said.

“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Prime Minister Scott Morrison described him as one of Australia’s greatest cricketers.

“Australians have woken in shock and sadness to the awful news of the death of Shane Warne, aged just 52,” Mr. Morrison said.

“Shane was one of our greatest cricketers of all time, one of only a few that could approach the extraordinary achievements of the great Don Bradman.”

His achievements were the product of his talent, discipline, and passion for the game he loved,” he added.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Shane Warne’s family during this difficult time.
