Former Tonight Show Host Jay Leno Seriously Burned From Gasoline Fire

Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno recently revealed to Variety that he is recovering from burn injuries following a gasoline fire.

Leno revealed in a statement to the publication, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

TMZ also confirms that Jay was in the Burbank garage where he stores his cars on Saturday when one of the cars erupted into flames without warning. Sources told TMZ that “the flames burned the left side of Jay’s face, but thankfully did not penetrate his eye or his ear.”

Leno was scheduled to perform at a financial conference in Las Vegas Sunday night but could not attend due to a health issue, according to an email to Forum 2022 attendees from The Financial Brand.

“His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from traveling,” an email to conference attendees obtained by People stated.

“All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight.”
