Miss Earth Australia is a national beauty pageant with a purpose. By promoting environmental awareness, social responsibility, and climate change advocacy, the contest aims to repurpose beauty entertainment for the betterment of the world.
Winners of Miss Earth Australia are sent to compete in Miss Earth International, an international beauty pageant and environmental event that seeks to turn Earth’s most beautiful women into global ambassadors of environmental protection and preservation.
Miss Earth International is one of the most renowned beauty events in the world, drawing contestants from over 120 different countries. The pageant has been successful in launching the careers of dozens of the world’s top models while ensuring they act as positive influences in the global fight against climate change.
The current Miss Earth is Lindsey Coffey from the United States, and some previous queens include Nellys Pimentel from Puerto Rico, and Nguyễn Phương Khánh from Vietnam. Representing Australia in 2020, and the winner of Miss Earth Australia, was Brittany Dickson, a model, and bioscientist from Sydney.
