4 Horror And Suspense Flicks Are Coming To GMA Life TV This October

GMA Life TV, the Kapuso Network’s lifestyle international channel, welcomes October with well-loved shows and spooky flicks that Pinoys abroad can watch and enjoy with the whole family!

Get ready to get goosebumps with a month-long horror fest on “Reel Life Weekend.” On October 9, watch the psychological-thriller movie “Lila,” which tells the story of a lady tenant who finds herself in series of mysterious events after she found a diary of an old renter. The movie stars Janine Gutierrez and Enchong Dee. On October 16, catch the period film “Ika-sampu” top-billed by Eddie Garcia and Maria Isabel Lopez. The movie is about a descendant of a rich Hispanic family that lived in the Philippines in the 1800s, who soon discovers the dark past of her family.

A bizarre horror film coming on October 23 is “San Lazaro,” an occult film that revolves on the journey of two estranged friends asking for the help of a faith healer to save the life of a boy who is possessed by an evil spirit. It stars Ramon Bautista, Wincy Aquino Ong, and Bianca King. On October 30, Tom Rodriguez and Jasmine Curtis-Smith frighten viewers via the supernatural horror film “Maledicto,” which is about a cynical priest who searches for redemption by performing exorcisms.

On the lighter side, starting October 23, Kapuso comedy sitcom “Hay, Bahay” returns on GMA Life TV with Kapuso powerhouse comedians Vic Sotto and Comedy Concert Queen Aiai delas Alas. It narrates the hilarious tale of a couple, Yoyo and Batch (Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa), who lives in a crazy and fun house together with their boarders – Vio and Lav, played by Vic and Aiai, along with Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.

In celebration of World Teacher’s Day, GMA Life TV also gives tribute to all honorable teachers who are selflessly dedicated and passionate about their profession.

Reel Life Weekend presents a heart-wrenching and emotionally charged teacher’s story, “Ang Maestra.” Starring multi-awarded actress Perla Bautista, Dennis Padilla, and Jenine Desiderio, it tells the story of a retired senile school teacher living under the care of her grandson (Biboy Ramirez) whom she finds difficult to connect with. Will her grandson realize her worth when she runs away?

Meanwhile on GMA News TV, long-time news magazine show “I Juander” seeks to answer how students and teachers cope up with newly-enforced “Distance Learning” and the setbacks that challenge the education system in the country during the coronavirus pandemic.  On its special episode “Ano ang Lagay ng Pag-aaral sa Bayan ni Juan Ngayong Panahon ng Pandemya,” discover the resourcefulness of some students who climb mountains and ride on sailboats just to get internet connection for their online classes.
