South Australia Announces Major Changes To Quarantine Rules As Border Reopens On November 23

South Australia Premier Steven Marshall has recently announced that double vaccinated close contacts will have their quarantine period slashed in half once South Australia reopens its borders on November 23.

The South Australia border is scheduled to reopen to double vaccinated Aussies as per Sky News and apparently, they will not be required to undergo 14 days of quarantine unless they are arriving from a local government area with known community transmission or less than 80 percent double dose vaccination coverage.

Premier Steven Marshall has revealed this crucial change to isolation requirements for fully vaccinated South Australians as the state finally reopens on November 23.

International travellers will also be allowed back into South Australia if they are already double vaccinated and it will only be compulsory for them to complete seven days of quarantine, while authorised unvaccinated arrivals will still have to go through 14 days of quarantine.

SA Premier Steven Marshall revealed that he’s expecting SA to reach the 80 percent double dose mark by around November 23, mentioning that high vaccination rates is a “key part of our strong plan to be COVID-ready and South Australia’s pandemic control going forward.”
