NSW has exploded to a new record of cases with a whopping 6394 new Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm Christmas Day.
According to the latest figures released on Boxing Day, there are 458 people in hospital with the virus and 52 of those are in intensive care.
NSW has given out a number of new restrictions for the holiday season to try and stop the spread of Covid.
It’s now mandatory to wear masks indoors until January 27 and QR code check-ins at retail stores and hospitality venues are also mandatory from Boxing Day.
Mr. Perrottet and Health Minister Brad Hazzard are planning to hold a press conference to provide an update on the latest situation.
