Australian music legend John Farnham’s family recently confirmed that he had been diagnosed with cancer in a statement released on Tuesday, revealing that he has been admitted to the hospital for surgery and treatment.

Here’s what the statement said:
“Cancer diagnosis is something that so many people face every single day, and countless others have walked this path before me,” he said.
“The one thing I know for sure is that we have the best specialist healthcare professionals in Victoria, and we can all be grateful for that. I know I am.”
It is still unknown how long Farnham has actually been unwell.
