Star Pop artist Kanishia boasts of her courage to bend the rules in “Breakaway,” a confidence-boosting song about embracing one’s purpose in life even if it’s not aligned with the norm. Her fellow Kapamilya talent SAB wrote and composed the track and was produced by Star Pop label head Rox Santos. “Breakaway” follows Kanishia’s second single, “Never Feel Pretty,” released in 2021, another feisty song that serves as a snappy comeback to those who bully others to feed their self-esteem.
