Aussie Dance Music Royalty Team Up For This Disco Gem!

Two pioneering legends of Australian Dance music are back together again in a big way! Mark James & Pipi Le Oui (aka Peewee Ferris) between them, have scored countless chart-topping hits over their 30 years in the music business.  Along with staging massive festivals like ‘Future Music’ to scoring the music for the Olympics, there’s not much these two haven’t achieved and the best is yet to come.

Teaming up on their new record label ‘Two Tribes Records,’ the lads have been head down, writing dance music for the new generation of club and festivalgoers.  Their first single together: ‘I LOVE U’ was released in early 2021 and impacted the Australian and worldwide charts.  It peaked on the ARIA Club Chart at #14 and hit Top 10 on the Beatport & Traxsource Charts. On iTunes & Apple Music, the track went Top 10 in Mexico, Belgium, Australia, NZ, and France.

About Mark James:

Having pioneered the Australian dance music scene for 30 years, there’s not much Mark James hasn’t achieved in his long illustrious career.  From heading up ‘Future Entertainment’ who brought us ‘Future Music Festival,’ ‘Summadayze’ and countless other events, international tours & brands, to chart topping worldwide club hits.  Since 1991 Mark collaborated with Artists such as: Carl Cox, Sasha & Paul Oakenfold just to name a few. 

Fast forward to 2021 and Mark is on a roll again with his latest productions! In the past year, Mark James along with his techno alias MJM have scored a massive 5x Number Ones and no less than 15x Top Ten & Twenty hits on Beatport & Traxsouce.  There aren’t too many other Australian DJ/Producers, who can say that they have achieved this in 2020–2021.  Mark’s new record label ‘Two Tribes Records’ first release: ‘I LOVE U’ – Mark James & Pipi Le Oui has scored itself a #14 spot on the ARIA Club Chart.  Stay tuned for many more releases coming this Summer in 2022.

Currently living on the sunny Gold Coast, Mark runs Queensland’s newest house music club ‘Arcade,’ where he DJ’s every weekend to a packed house of upfront clubbers, enjoying his unique blend of Disco Jackin’ Tech house sounds.

About Pipi Le Oui:

Pipi Le Oui is funky disco house alias for legend DJ Peewee Ferris.  A pioneer of House music from the famous Hordern Parties where he DJed to 10,000 people who danced united as one, all night long every week.  Pipi Le Oui’s first release was on the French label ‘Le Disques Bleu.’ ‘The Funky Bus’ had huge support from Fatboy Slim and BBC Radio 1 – Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Selection’ and Galaxy FM UK. 

After a long hiatus, Pipi Le Oui returned to the studio in 2020 to satisfy our need for uplifting and positive music during the global pandemic.  Pipi’s sound is often described as sexy, fun, and funky with disco house beats, piano, diva vocals, and pop goes the champagne!!!! Releases on ‘Disco Filter Records,’ ‘Pornostar Records,’ ‘Velco,’ ‘Xelon’ and the latest on ‘Two Tribes Records’ (co-owned with Mark James).

‘Happiness’ which was the Official ‘Sydney Mardi Gras’ song in 2020 and ‘Someday’ featured on BBC Radio 1 and current release ‘I Love U’ with Mark James, had huge support from DJs.

Their brand-new Summer monster ‘ME TIME’ is set to make waves again with its bouncy synths, swirling disco strings, and catchy Summer vibe style vocals.  ‘ME TIME’ will keep everyone jumping from the club dance floor to the festival massive and across the airwaves!
